Comforts in Tiny Places

Subtle cracks
in the decrepit wood,
dust that has settled
in the abandoned corners
of the brimful bookshelf,
various papers,
dressed in scribbles,
all jammed into the
beloved poetry box,
a mug full of coffee,
warm and smooth
from the fresh brew.
All of these
are what I call
in tiny places.
